The Gloria Washington Wallace Young Leaders Technology Scholarship is awarded annually to first-generation high school graduates in Howard County, Maryland.  Student recipients of the scholarship will be awarded funds based on their scholarly achievement and a written essay on how they would use technology to solve a social problem. This scholarship seeks to provide young people with college aspirations the tools necessary for success.

The RemixEducation Young Leaders Scholarship was created in 2009 by Long Reach, Wilde Lake and Oakland Mills alumni interested in empowering young people to continue their education. This group of young women graduated from these schools between the years of 2003-2005 and was deeply moved by their high school experience.
